That should be fine, but I would recommend this:

SpectraPure - Great Deals on All your Water Management needs!

It's the 90 GPD unit. It says refurbished, but no one, including me, has seen any imperfections besides maybe a little scratch. People have had great luck with it and I'm about to set mine up, hopefully over the weekend :)

You basically hook it up to your home's water supply and it runs the waste water out of one tube and the clean water out of another. You then mix the clean water with salt and add it to your tank

Im in the same boat, about to look myself, I have been checking out the Spectra's havent heard bad things about them, havent heard too much on the BRS, just the typhoon's.

Is there a benefit to these manual flush ones? I'm considering the MC-RODI-90, but honestly...I've got a Biocube 29g tank, is a ro/di overkill for a nano reef?

Would you rather keep buying more saltwater at your LFS or buy salt for your own unit? IMO it's easier to have your own unit and you know what's in the water, but it's up to you.

I'm not sure about manual flushes, though.

Ok thank you, I think I am going to try out the BRS if you think it is alright. I know the RO/DI units are either good or bad with little grey area.

I haven't tried the BRS unit, but I would imagine it would be okay :)

Just a side note: When it says 75 gallons per day, it is usually at a 4:1 waste water:clean water ratio, so you'll only get about 15 gallons of clean water per day ;)

Thanks for that note :) Right now I have normal tap water mixed with salt in my tank so I want to slowly convert it over the next couple months until I add any corals.

I was told that the waste to clean ratio was supposed to be 4:1? With the 90 GPD unit, I was told I should get about 20 gallons of clean water a day

Spectrapure is simply the best there is! Not just my opinion but most everyone that has owned one.
I wasted a lot of money on off brand systems trying to save money. Finally getting a MaxCap was yet another one of those things in this hobby that I so wish I would have bought quality from the beginning!
I believe you actually save money with Spectrapure systems over others due to the absolute highest quality of their products.
Do yourself a favor and get the best, not much more than the others!
