I bought the typhoon 5 stage from air water and ice and produces 75 gpd. I also bought the dual in line tds meter from them and I tell you will not be disappointed. They say zero tds coming out and they mean it. I highly recommend it.

Yup, I shopped around before buying mine and they had a good price for what you get (and there good). Dont know now but still should have a good price.

I wouldn't get the ebay one, simply b/c it uses a horizontal (less efficient) DI container.
I'm not sure anyone with decent tap water needs a 7 stage setup.
I'd only recommend 2 sediment filters if you have well water and it's heavy with minerals.
Use of a TDS meter will tell you when DI resin is totally out (if you don't get the color-changing resin), so not sure what the heck anyone NEEDS 2 DI canisters for?
I agree a 75 gpd membrane is good enough.
I have had excellent customer service from Russ at BuckeyeFieldSupply, and have also heard some great feedback from other 3reef members about Air,Water & Ice.
Good choice to spend your $ on a RO/DI setup. Good Luck.

I've heard to change out the DI resin every 6-7 months or so, but it all depends on the amount of usage. The RO membranes should last 2-3 yrs, I think.

Go with air, water ice! I haven't heard anything bad about them. I know 2 people that have their units and love them. And to say this for Matt... mention 3reef when ordering, it helps knowing their sponsorship here pays off!!

Typhoon III from Air Water & Ice is what I use. I added another DI unit to it because Indiana water sucks

damn bogie why you have to go throw another one in there. great prices for what you get at the buckeyes.

so choices are a 5 stage with dual tds meter , pressure gauge, and flush kit plus free replacement filters and float valve from bulk reef for $199.99

or i could do a 4 stage economy with hm inline tds monitor or handheld.+ free float valve and replacement filters for $152.98 from bulk reef.

orrrrr i get a premium series 75 gpd 5 stage, with handheld hm tds3 meter, and flush valve , and pressure gauge from buckeyesfield.com for $169.00

or the air water& ice 5 stage 75gpd with hand held tds meter and a few extras. for $189.00

what one you think is the cheapest for what you get and will get the job done?
