    Hi,

So I need to purchase a RO / DI unit and the process inside of the unit - I understand but if a unit produces 60 G for example but the unit itself has a capacity much less, does the unit need to be plumbed in or connected to a faucet?

they make attachments that are sometimes included with the rodi units that go on the faucet. my 75 gpd rodi fills up a 5 gallon bucket in about 1 and a half hour. A guy on here by the name of AZ desert rat or something close to that is a pro with these. see if you can find him. or maybe he will respond.

I'm not sure if I understand your question completely but your systems output is dictated by the ro membrane and water temp and pressure.

Here is a pretty detailed description of a RO or RO/DI system and what each component or piece does and why each is important to the process.
