I just got my Typhoon III running last night around 9pm. The user manual says to wait for three days to make water. What gives? The TDS was 0 after the 10 minute Fast Flush. Can I use this to top off?

Why would you have to wait 3 days to make the water? You should just run it for 10-20 mins to flush and then your good to go. I have a Spectrapure but they all pretty much work the same way

You could call the manufacturer but probably not till Monday

I don't see a reason to wait 3 days either.I would run a few gallons through just to be on the safe side and use it.

not completely sure on this but
I think the 3 days is to give the cation and annion resins in the DI aspect time to settle as they will have got shifted about in transit

I believe the 3 days was the wait to test for TDS. I have a Typhoon III also with an extra DI cartage on it. You will like that unit.

Yes, it is used to flush the resin of and preservatives... 3 days seems long, but I would follow there recommendations regardless... They dont put it on there to trick you, but I agree its a long time...

Can I use it to top off? I just got back from petsmart with some salt and I planning on making saltwater tonight. Is that ok? Should I let the unit run for three days if it is to let the resins settle because they were shaken up during transport. I would ask them but the three days will be up on monday. Right now I have a heater and a maxijet 900 in the 35 gal mixing container, no salt added.
