I am looking into to buying a ro/di. The water I am getting from them I believe is causing my diatom outbreak possibly. I never had a problem with it before and then the last couple days with this new batch of top off water I have had red algea appear and diatom now on one whole side. what type of ro/di would you all suggest.

I bought the Typhoon 5 Stage RO/DI from airwaterice.com. Buckeye Field Supply is also a good name.

    Good luck!

10 weeks I know that it is still maturing. I am starting to doubt the store I my water from because they tried to sell me some fish over the weekend with my tanks n03 levels elevated (35ppm). As well as a couple other things that are wrong

At 10 weeks old, the diatoms are very normal. But I wouldnt wait until you have an algae problem to buy a R/O unit. You should get one from the start. Try this web-site, they are not name brand, but you get more bang for the buck. P U R E W A T E R C L U B Luna

OMG, those prices are insanely low. Thanks Luna! I haven't purchased mine yet (still saving my money up), was planning on the Typhoon 5 stage that Reefsparky has, but now I may purchase from that site. Thanks again.

I havent bought from them, unfortunately I found that site after purchasing the unit I have now. But there are a few here that have bought from them. Infact, there was a thread about the same subject. Luna
