    I don't think it would be that hard, but you would only be making the casings. You would still need to buy the resin/DI filter and the membrane. Plus the plumbing for the membrane portion isn't as simple as the others. When all is said and done, it might be easier to just buy one.

    i got a few canisters laying around, miles of 3/8" pex and fittings enough to make a 8 stage actually lol. . . . i was just wondering if anyone has don it and how it worked out

    ok you talked me into it, i'll just buy a new one. even with the stuff to make one i wont take the time to do it lol. what ro/di units would anyone suggest? Air, Water & ice? i was thinking i shouldn't need more than 75-100 GPD
