I don't know, haven't used it. I would suggest getting a TDS meter to see what the level is at.

I use that RO/DI water from walmart for my babies formula, just put a TDS meter to it and it says 28 not too bad, but not amazing either.

I can see buying water if you are only doing a nano-tank due to small water usage. With my 55gal, I am evaporating 3/4 gal per day. Thus in about a year and a half it would pay to have bought an RO/DI unit. Add to that the cost of water at home. Subtract from that the cost of gas and time to go to the fish store. Point is that you might consider buying an RO/DI unit. In the long run, I think it will save you both money and time.

Something to consider. I have a SpectraPure and really like it.

If its RO/DI it should read 0 TDS or very close to it. 28 is bad for RO only and horrible for RO/DI. A RO by itself should be about 98% efficient at removing TDS so that means the water would have have a TDS of around 1000 to begin with or the membrane is in need of replacement. RO/DI should be 99.99% pure so I don't even want to think about how bad the system is working.

Buying water is a crap shoot, sometimes its OK but usually it is not. They treat water to drinking water standards not reef tank standards and there is a difference. If you must buy prepared bottled water use distilled as it should be pretty good. RO/DI would be my preferred choice but you rarely find it in stores, its usually RO or RO with additives to make it taste good which adds TDS.
