The extra 2% or so in rejection rate with the MaxCap equals a huge long term cost savings in DI resin replacements plus better water quality. The membrane will laos last much longer, up to 10 years according to Randy Holmes Farley based on his own experience. I saved like 18 DI replacements in the first two years of operation compared to my previous Typhoon III with a Dow 75 GPD membrane.
    Well worth the difference.

Max Cap has an extra DI stage w/ MaxCap resin, the 2nd TDS meter, and I think the RO is individually tested on the MaxCap, while the CSP is batch tested.

The biggest difference is that extra MaxCap DI stage. From what I understand, it only grabs certain things out of the water, but can grab more of them, which lets the SB resin last longer than normal. They say it'll last 3x longer, which makes it cheaper over time.

You'd need a new flow restrictor if you get a new membrane.
