RO machine

I ordered Oceanic Systems | Products | Pure-Flo II - 2 Canister Systems . Has anyone had any experiences with this unit? Good or bad?

Imo you should have asked that before ordering.

 

Yes without the DI unit, you can still have phosphate and other stuff in even after the Ro filters.

 

I run the Pure Flo 50gpd, essentially the same RO as you. I also run no DI.... I get anywhere from 3-7 ppm TDS out of the RO and compared to the 400-600 ppm TDS I get out of the tap that is pure enough for me.
You can get an add on cartridge for anywhere from $40-60.

Its a decent unit, and if you need when you replace membranes you can always get a larger one.

Agreed, but it's too late for that;D In fact, I got the RO 50GPD unit brand new for 100 dollars. That is a lot cheaper than what I saw it for in my local store so I snagged it while it was still for auction.

Does anyone have a link for the DI product? I was using straight tap water before so RO is a step up anyways. My phosphates were at 5.0ish and I ended up with a small hair algae problem.
