so we have kinda fitted the ro unit but snapped the mains water screw on pipe connecter! so doing well. also there is alot off water coming out off the waste pipe outlet which i thought would maybe drip from time to time but its got a steady trickle coming out? also pressure is low humm think we will have to rethink!

ok the pressure has gone up after resealing a top unit that was not sealed but the water is still coming out off the waste pipe very fast, is that normal? and the clean water is a steady fast drip?
    Thanks k

Most units take 3-5 gallons of water to make 1 gallon of pure water so you will have more waste than ro water

30 liters every two weeks for a water change or is that including tops offs that you will be doing daily?

yes and if you have fast flush valve you need to use it when the units sits that long.

It will produce what is produces no matter what... at this point just be happy that you have one and don't worry about it!! Stick the wastewater line out in the yard for irrigation :)! Now time to buy a dual inline tds meter so you know when to change out everything!! The money never stops in this hobby so get used to it!!

I live in the uk where we have a water meter and its stupidly exspensive to run you water like that ..... even a very wealthy person would not run water like that hear! It cost £40 pounds a month here just to have 3 baths a week and run the washing machine once a day! leaving it running is not a option! Im not really willing to spent an extra £40 a month to water my plants.
    Thanks K

I spoke to the shop this morning and they said its fine to turn it off as long as you chuck out the first hours production. Do you no why pure ro can not be used with fish? do i need to add anything to the ro before i put it in with my fish to make it safe? I dont really understan why they say it saves you money if you have to then add things to the ro to make that safe? somewhere said you can add some off the waste water to the ro water to make it safe but shorly that defeats the reason why you purifie it in the first place!
    Thanks for all the help!
P.S still trying to fit the bloody thing!
