just wanted people to know that if you cant afford the RO filters, or like me dont want to deal with the hassle and waste water. I just go a 5gal jug of RO water from the machine for .33 cents a gallon.

The major problem with the water from the machines in Wal Mart or any store, is that these machines need to be serviced regularly.  With cleaning and filter changes done.  I have tested TDS and Phosphates from these machines and lets just say no service was ever done on the ones in my area.  The problem is these store buy the machines but do not buy service contracts for maintenance.
I don't remember the exact numbers but the water from my Tape was better.

    Sorry

Great point J. Bottled water is not regulated either. Scary what some folks drink!

For the cost of that water you can buy your own and store it. An RO/DI unit will pay for it's self in a couple of months.

It's usually hit and miss with the bottled water. I used Culligan once and tested the phosphates they were through the roof. But another company Canada springs is always great.
