Mine is a drinking water jug from walmart. Hold 6 gallons. A hose runs through the wall next to my tank and into my kitchen cabinet where the jug is stored. Its nice since you don't see it but outa sight outa mind. I forget to fill it all the time lol

Nice idea, unfortunately my tank is only near the living room so I'm out of luck on trying to hide the tubing, I'm on the 2nd floor or I woulda def drilled into the basement and put the resevoir there. But, I think I can make it work.

Thanks for your input so far everyone!

I got a 20 Gal container from WalMart for like $6 (neon orange). Smelled awful, but washed it with vinegar, RO, and filled it with RODI water for 2 weeks, tested for Phosphates and TSD and came up with 0...assuming it is safe to store water. WalMarts are A LOT cheaper than Brute. However, I have 2 Brute 32 Gal trashcans that store my RO/DI and Saltwater respectively.

Mine is actually a Rubbermaid "Roughneck".

The important thing is that it is food grade. The roughneck line from Rubbermaid is all food grade.

EDIT: which I bought at Wal-Mart

Go to the camping section at any sports store. They will have drinking water containers. They are all food grade. I don't think I have a pic of mine but it has a handle and 2 holes for pouring and filling. Plus its only 5 inches wide so it slides right in my kitchen cabinet. Works perfect and its easy to carry around when it needs filling.

thanks guys, I will see what's out there, will make sure it's "food grade" too. I'm so excited to not have to manually top-off, it's just one of those things that I always have to remember, will be niiiiiice not to now!
