Hello all, I did not know about 3reef when I got started so I did not really start a thread in the usual manor. So I went through all of my photos and am going to try to put this together as best I can. I did not take pics of the stand that I spent one month re-conditioning and re-finishing. I wish I would have. Anyway here we go.

This is the day I filled with water 5 mo ago.

    Added sand the next day

My first 2 live rocks and 10 damsels

I added canopy fans with a 12v power source

Finally added some more live rock

    also RO/DI system

Keep working my part time job to keep buying more live rock!!

Finally starting to take shape--I wanted a very open reef that the fish could dart in and out of, also the wife wanted to be able to see inside the reef--She did not like the reefs that were all clumped against the back wall, neither did I. All of this is stacked and solid--No PVC or Glue

Coraline starting to grow and everything is becoming very stable. added the fuge and diatoms have stopped. Starting to fufill the pic in my head when I started.

This is today 3-25-09. My wife and I just added 50 lbs of new live rock that we had been curing for 3 weeks--my caves and open design is finally coming together, The fish really seem to like it too!!!

Want to put some zoo's on those 2 cool round rocks in front of caves!!!

And finally a quick look under the tank of the sump, skimmer, DIY fuge etc.

I want to thank everyone here at 3reef!!! Without all of you my dream would have been much harder to achieve. I have not lost 1 fish in these 5 months, but have spent about 3k. But it has all been worth it. I will update now that I have this started. Thanks Again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
