Thank you Kc for those kind words of encouragement! I will most certainly keep my focus on myself and my education first and foremost. My tank can wait , and I certainly hope it pays off when it does get started. Two things in life I don't question; my detication towards myself & families goals, and this hobby. Something about it generates a sense of accomplishment that no other single hobby could aspire to reach. It tests all of us in nearly every aspect imaginable, biology, chemistry, communication, physics, basic algebraic formulas when mixing solutions, electrical and structural engineering to minute degrees, Etc. I suppose that's why I like it so much, and am willing to take my time doin it. There's a lot to overlook and pass up during this process, so slow is good!

I second Kc in that you are doing things absolutely right! Congrats on the good deals and great equipment you've gotten. Keep your eye on the prize and get that degree! I've never known anybody that regretted getting a degree :) may I ask what you are working toward in terms of schooling? I'm just nosy that way

Thanks ofk! I appreciate your input genuinely.
I would love to get my BA in digital media from UCF and maybe a minor in English or creative writing. :)

I know the feeling. I'm planning on attending UCF as well for a BA in business management after next year, although a few initial years at SSC or Valencia will help my wallet a bit, so I may go that route first, and then transfer to UCF :p But as far as my tank goes, UCF is fairly close to my house, so I may not have to worry about moving it anywhere.

Picked up some goodies in a bag today ;) lol

The pump is a mag 3. I had my intentions on using it for salt mixing/water changes. I have a Sicce Syncra 1.5 for the return, but who knows I may switch. The mag gives off 35 watts and the Sicce only 23, and both seem to push about the same amount of water at a 3' head height(~300gph). I've used a mag 7 before on a previous set up, so I will give the Sicce dibs on the job for now, and see how it performs. Just more options for me to consider during this planning phase of the build. Which isn't a bad thing. Lol.

The Ato needs a pump but that's just going to be added to my wish list ,amongst a couple of other things, that I'll need to purchase online here 'fore too long. Lol

Good deal. I did the same thing pretty much. It saves money for sure to transfer from a cc. Best of luck with that bud!

I have a Sicce Syncra 1.5 and I'm pretty pleased with it overall. It's pretty quiet and does its job, so no complaints.

Sweet! That's awesome, makes me feel good to hear that. I've heard good things about Sicce overall so I'm pretty confident in it being the return still. Plus that extra 12 watts of unused juice is pretty appealing to my eyes, ears, wallet, and my fish tank bc I'll put that savings into it in the form of coral :).
