Here's the beginning of my 3rd reef tank. It's a 72 gallon All-Glass Aquarium bow front.

Not much to look at yet,i know, but gradually I intend to install and or build:
-a stand, i might make one w/o the curve, just a standard platform to hold the tank, i could care less about stands my tank should be the main focus. I want the top of the stand/bottom of tank at 24" this makes it perfect height for when i sit in my favorite rocking chair, itll also allow for plenty of room under the sump, My skimmer has a drain line from the collection cup so removing the cup isnt too much a priority. (i still will be able to remove it just with a little skill.) another reason for the low height, less head loss from the return pump.;)
    -a custom sump/fuge from 20 gallon tank
    -fix center brace with acrylic
-drill the back for a coast 2 coast bean style over flow.
    -one, 1/2" return line
    -Sicce 1.5 return
    -Bubble Magus Curve 5 skimmer

And that's all i know for now. I plan on moving to Orlando by end of summer, so this isn't going to get wet until I find a place to put her. Until then I'm going to purchase equipment along the way such as...

-Spectra pure max cap RO/DI system
-Lights (LED's, im still not sure what i want, we shall see what the budge can handle and go from there)
-wave maker, mp40 most likely, maybe the Chinese wp40. well see how they hold up in the months to come.
-rock and sand eventually, I'm going to revert back to sand for this tank, my BB was nice, i think this bow needs sand tho.
-media reactor(s) for carbon and gfo, don't know about bio-pellets, i keep hearing mixed things about some compounds found in some brands.
    -Apex.... eventually. lol ::)

That's all folks! Will post progress pics as they unfold!

    Thanks John!
patience young grasshopper! lol its all good man, im not a crazy fan or anything, like my team but i don't get enraged at meaningless sports i have 0 control over. Hopefully they step their game up, although last season wasn't too shabby, minus the UF game. ::)

As soon as I land a job in Orlando and find a place to live this will all start to fall together rather quickly. Which im hoping is sooner rather than later... I miss having a fish tank.

Cut acrylic today for the sump and the braces of the tank. was going to silicone tonight, but my tube dried up on me so I must buy a new one. I need to get the bolts, washers, and nuts for the brace any way. Here's how the sump layout is going to be (exactly like my other sump i made for my 75 gallon.) it worked fine so didnt see a need to alter my design. might drill the tank next week, well see how things go.
Total volume is ~13 gallons. refugium section alone is about 6 gallons.
Total volume for this system (with c2c, sand, rock,) should be right around 80 gallons.

Stands bout done. Turned out level, which is all that matters. one under exposed a tad, and the rest normal exposure to see the equipment. Ill add sides in the future when its ready, not necessary right now.

Next order of business it to just silicone the sump and drill the tank and get the over flow glass cut and drilled. oh and the brace fixed i shoulda got the hardware when I was at HD but my one track mind screwed me again. Tomorrow ill do that and silicone.

Slowly but surely ill have another reef tank to stare at for hours

looking good! The stand looks very sturdy. Are you looking for a job in Orlando to then move there?

Thanks! i actually have one lined up. Just requires to get a class C CDL and a passenger endorsement, and i can move there and being to make good money. For school mainly but every now n then for the tank. lol Thats why an Apex will be crucial for me cuz i may work all day and not be able to lay eyes on my tank until midnight or later. The hours are long, but im willin to work!

A buddy of mine works for the company and they love him, spoke to his boss and everything about what needs to be done. Im taking the test tuesday and then ill go from there! Im pretty excited for the future... with this tank, work, new location, new start. I need it.
