I have a 75 gallon tank and when i arranged my rock i left about a 3inch gap from the back of my tank to help with flow around my tank. I've noticed on a lot to pictures and videos to tanks people have placed theirs rock right on the back of the tank. I would like to find out some opinions on rock placement.

I keep just enough gap so that I can clean the back wall, roughly 2-3". But its also to keep as much swimming room out front as possible. The close quarters behind the rock also give the fish a nice area to hide and sleep.
