Rock Boring Urchins

    Recently found a rather large ( 2") Rock Boring Urchin in my 65 Gallon Reef Tank. I didn't knowing purchase it, it arrived as a hitch hiker!!! Not sure if I should leave it in the tank or remove it.

    What Does it Look Like Linda?

    If it's causing problems I would remove it. Maybe some one in your area would do a trade or maybe you could sell it to a LFS

    The Urchin body is black with white circles and has dark brown spines. At this point it does not seem to be doing any harm. It does feed on the coraline, but there is plenty in the tank. I wasn't sure if they cause damage other then feeding the Coraline. I tried to find info on them without success. I am not sure how long it has been in the tank. I did get a few pieces of lr in mid December!!!
