My rock is infested with SO many bristle worms!!!!! If it were just one or two it wouldn't be a big deal, but I guess they have multiplied and now they are EVERYWHERE. There are small ones, huge fat ones, I just don't know what to do anymore! I don't overfeed, my water is good. What's the best way to get rid of these suckers? One of my LFS sells a trap, but it's like $13, then I guess you'll have to refill with food once you got one. Don't really want to spend the money on that. I've heard if you take long tweezers you can get them, is this true? Do you just throw them in the trash or flush them? I've also heard coral banded shrimp and six line wrasses are good. I've been told coral banded shrimp can be mean and go after coral, so thats out of the question. I was reading about the six lines and it said they too can be aggressive and should be kept with more aggressive fish. Also they can go after snails and other small things in the tank. Oh also they shouldn't be kept with gobies, and i have an engineer goby. I have a 29GAL community tank with coral, snails, hermit crabs, 2 black and white clown fish, 3 striped damsel, engineer goby, and a blue hippo tang. I am going to be upgrading to a 75gal in the near future, but as of now this is my problem!!! What do you think would be the best solution?

woah woah woah before you do ANYTHING with bleach, look into getting a wrasse or simply plucking them out. just be careful because they can give a nasty sting

I wouldn't get the wrasse with the amount of fish already in there. There is something in there they are feeding on and when it runs out they will die off. How much are you feeding?

i had a pretty bad infestation as well. i cut my feeding by about half. has gotten a lot better, fish still happy. i read somewhere that a tube with food in the middle and filter floss packed in on either side works as a good trap. just pull the tube out before the lights come on (have not tried it myself) havent heard of the bleach thing before, sounds kinda dangerous though

I feed them either frozen brine or mysis shrimp. I buy the packs from petco. I feed them one cube a day...

That sounds like the problem. I had a hard time realizing what feeding little really meant when I first started cutting back. Fish can go quite awhile without food. I feed my tank one cube per/week now, and my fish are perfectly happy. I'm not saying that's the right amount for you, but you could easily cut it back to every other day. If that works well for you, you could even cut it back farther. I've found that less food in my system=happier fish and coral.

I sometimes feed every other day, usually dont feed saturday and sundays. I just read sometimes that youre supposed to feed certain fish once or twice a day so it worries me that i'm not feeding them enough when skip the weekend.

All of your fish should be fine to go a couple of days without food. I would still keep some nori available for the tang though.
