Subscribed! Can't wait to see how this turns out. Your last tanks were the creme d' creme, but this is going to blow it out of the water!

 

Is that just the tank? Or equipment as well?

First update in a while:

- Things with construction are moving along... slowly (surprise)

- It's looking like a December move date - and what a move it will be. I've already planned the whole thing and will post the details as the time gets closer. It will take 2 days for the basic move and weeks to get everything else set up.

- The engineer was at the house yesterday and we're all set on the structural support. This tank is being placed near the middle of a 30' clear span beam... yeah.

- The tank should be arriving any time now. Not that I can do anything with it until more of the house is done... As soon as the structure is complete I'll be setting it up with sand and some rock from my existing system along with a seed pod population to give it lots of time to explode before I add the rest of my livestock.

- I have the possibility of adding an above-tank fuge to replace my existing fish-room fuge. I like this A LOT because it means critters from the fuge don't get chewed up in the pump on their way back to the main tank. I'll still probably have a massive chaeto tank in the fish room, but this will supplement. Need to bring up with the architect to see how we can make it look decent.

Damn...and I came in here hoping for a finished product!
