That's the place (though it's actually in Castro Valley). I'll have to try Barney's :)

I forgot to mention that I also got my aqua illuminations sol blues last week. Pretty cool system.

    Major progress today...

We installed the flow meter today:

And got the second tank plumbed in:

This is what happens when you tighten a bulkhead too much and let it twist while you tighten:

    We filled both tanks:

And they are now running with only one minor leak at the pump output (just need to tighten). Here is the input into the sump at 2500 gph. I will be upping the flow to 3000 gph tomorrow to see how it works:

    Aquascaping tomorrow!

Oh man those tanks look nice in that room. Congrats on getting this far - what a job! If I were you I would be standing in that room and staring at them until 4am tonight. You earned it! :)

These are going to be some amazing reef tanks when you are all done!

The build is coming along very nicely! Keep up the good work. What's left to do still?

How much did the flow meter cost?

A lot, but I'm ready to start scaping, stocking, etc.

    Still to do:

    - Make my custom light fixtures
    - Hang the lights
    - Get my ATO hooked up
    - Put doors on the areas under the tanks - add sound insulation
    - Get my Apex set up
    - Run cables for the Apex
    - Paint the pipes outside
    - Aquascape
    - Buy lots of sand and put it in
    - Drill my holding tanks for emergency overflows
    - Plumb my holding tanks so I can simply turn on pumps and move water
    - Get my water change tank set up and plumbed in
    - Make my custom lettuce clips
    - I'm sure there is more

It wasn't cheap, but well worth it ($400).
