    Livestock Update:

    - I just got an email from Kevin at Pacific Island Aquatics, the company I ordered the Potters trio from, and everything is set to be sent out tomorrow for a Friday delivery. I'm amped about this one. Maybe I'm sheltered, but in my 35ish years in the hobby I've never seen even two of the same species of pygmy angels together in person, much less three. I'm hoping they arrive ok.

    - I also ordered a Powder Blue Tang from Live Aquaria. I know I've sworn these things off because of my bad luck with them, but I've also never been able to introduce one as the first fish in a tank before. This will be going in my semi-reef side along with the Potters. By giving it some alone time (or near alone time with the Potters), it should dramatically reduce the stress on the fish during introduction.

    - Lastly, I also ordered some Cleaner Shrimp and Sexy Anemone Shrimp that will be going in the SPS tank.

Pics coming on Friday after introduction.

EDIT: Because of these new fish being introduced this weekend, I will likely delay my Florida fish shipment until next week to both give these guys time to acclimate and give the system less additional load to process all at once.

Well, can't get any pics of the new fish until Friday, but here is a pic of Brangelina, our Midas Blennny, in the tank at World Wide Corals!

Please Please Please Please Don't get this fish. I have had 3. Every single time I thought the tank was stable enough... ICK ICK ICK.. Killed all the remaining fish the last time and I ultimately gave up saltwater until I move and switched to a cichlid tank.

I swear I will never have a powder anything tang. Ever.

    Livestock Update:

All the livestock arrived in great condition with one notable exception - no, not the Powder Blue. The male Potters was on his side and barely breathing when I pulled his bag out of the shipping container. I immediately put him into an acclimation container and poured in a half cup of aquarium water. He got a little more active then again settled to the bottom. I waited a couple minutes then added another half cup. Same results. I then started a fast drip, thinking that the water he was traveling in was likely depleted of O2 and full of bad stuff so a fast initial acclimation was in order. He slowly started getting more active so I slowed the drip and am letting the last half of the acclimation go at normal speed. He still looks tough, but I'm hopeful he will pull through.

The Powder Blue is being a pain (wow, imagine that!), spraying water all over the place with his tail. He is active and healthy.

I'm pretty certain I know where you got the Potter's trio from, and those guys are usually top notch in service and quality.

    Best of luck with him.

At worst, if he doesn't make it, those guys will make it right with you.

I don't think he's going to make it. I just put him in the tank and he is on the bottom breathing very heavily. You never know... since there aren't any other fish in there right now he may have the time and space to recover, but it's not looking good.

Sorry to hear on the Potter's hope it works out. Good luck with the Powder Blue, such a gorgeous fish.

Sounds as though you are on a fast track now.
