For anyone else who may want to try the same thing, my only change on the next one would be that the glassholding the lights would be Starfire or other similar glass.

I've been lurking and reading through this thread over the last few weeks. It's amazing, and awesome set of tanks. Not to mention the overall system--words cannot describe how cool it is. Best of luck and I can't wait to see these bad boys after they have had some time to age and grow.

    UPDATE:

    Good and bad...

    - On the good side, I bought pretty decent blowing fan and set it to blow into the fuge. Yesterday, with local temps in the high 70s, the tank temp was 77.5. That's a far cry from the 82 with similar temps earlier. I'm a little concerned about the increased humidity it will bring to the basement.

    - Also, I picked up six Purple Queen Anthias on Saturday along with an unknown blenny (see http://www.3reef.com/forums/id/generic-saltwater-fish-113300.html#post1174608 ) and a bunch of critters. They are doing well.

    - On the down side, the male Potters died. I have no idea why. The night before he was out and eating, the next morning he was dead. Very odd and very sad.

so envious. Don't forget to update pics as you add new livestock. Heck, add pictures even if you don't add livestock. I never get tired of looking at your tanks.

Pics coming tonite, inlcuding one of the hereto unphotographed Limbaugh's chromis.

This guy is amazing. I ordered him off Diver's Den because you almost never see them. I didn't realize how flipping big he was going to be. Very cool fish... I call him Grumpy.
