Been a long time since I posted, sorry for that, but RealLife(tm) has been getting the better of me lately.

    Here are the updates:

    - My fish are back in the tank (those that I was able to take out) and everyone is doing fine.

    - I've added some pretty cool livestock lately, specifically:

    • A Diamond Watchman Goby
    • A Splendid Dottyback
    • A new Limbaugh Chromis (been looking for more)
    • A heniochus diphreutes - I had a couple more, but they didn't make it
    • My fav: A Goldflake Angel
    • Yellow Polyps
    • New Electric GSP - placed to cover the bottom of the tank and plate exposed by flow
    • Lunar Destroyer Polyps
    • A couple sally lightfoots in each tank

    - To this add the fish that made the passage through the velvet outbreak:

    • Midas Blenny
    • Unknown Blenny
    • Two Yellow Watchmen Gobies (That I literally see only about once every two weeks)
    • Six-Line Wrasse
    • Red Sea Sailfin
    • Purple Tang
    • One of the three Potters (the baby of the bunch)

    - Corals that I've got

    • Purple Cloves - taking off
    • GSP - also taking off
    • Purple Cap - slowly growing
    • Blue-rimmed Green Cap - Got a little burned by the LEDs, coming back now
    • Misc Zoo rock

One coral didn't make it: I had a Red Cap that I moved too high to fast and it got badly burned and didn't make it through.

    - Equipment:

    • My new DIY Kalk reactor is working great - love it
    • I bought a new main pump (RK2) to save on power. I will probably save 2.5 amps which equates to a lot at $.405/kwh. It will pay itself off in less than 9 months
    • I've cut my UV sterilizer back to 50% usage - on for 3 hours, off for 3
    • I got in my solenoids in for my future build of my automatic daily water changer

    Pics this weekend (I hope)

Didn't you also have a pair of Swallow Tail Angels? Or were they in the thank that was not infected? How are they doing? I love those fish.

I haven't gotten the swallowtails yet. I did forget to mention that I just ordered a male/female pair of Blue Throat Triggers off Diver's Den :)

My wife is going to kill me.

those little snails you took a pic of actually look like the collonista snails not nassarius. Do they spend all their time on the glass and rocks? then they're not nassarius. They reproduce like mad and clean up film algae so they really are awesome!

awesome tank build! I can't wait to see the full shot of both tanks with the lights and everything done! Great fish selection too! My LFS has a goldflake that's been there forever... too bad it's $400 and I have corals I like too much lol. hope your fish recover!

Wow, that Goldflake is gorgeous. I haven't seen too many of them, but now...hmmmm.

I forgot to mention previously though that I am happy to hear that you got your system back up and running again and I hope it is smooth sailing from here on out.

BTW, what fish do you have (or have planned) in your SPS tank vs. your LPS.

And, one last question--have you had experience with the swallow tail angels? I love 'em too. I don't think my 80 Gallon cube would be enough for them though, much to my chagrin.

    And the Dogface Puffer AWESOME.
