Nice setup. I scares me every time I see GSP is such an amazing tank. That stuff takes over like crazy, but I'm sure you know what you are doing and have a plan to isolate it. My LFS owner put GSP is his largest display tank and one of his workers was trying to remove it. Stated the owner was stupid for adding GSP and that it was the biggest mistake he ever made. To each there own though.

Remember that I've got two tanks. One is for SPS and the other is primarily for fish with a few corals thrown in for color. The GSP will make it nowhere near the SPS tank :)

I'm adding fish to that tank that may cause issues with corals so fast growing, resilient corals like GSP and the clove polyps I added in are what I'm looking for. Yes, I know they will take over, but I'm ok with that. There aren't going to be any corals I really care about going into that tank and I need ground/rock cover that looks good.

Good plan. I had forgot about you having 2 tanks. I added GSP to my one tank and it was a nightmare getting rid of it. If my wife wouldn't kill me I would do 2 tanks and make one a softy tank.

First on the GSP, it is the most resilient coral I've ever encountered. I had an ATO malfunction on a tank and flood it with fresh water down to 1.03 SG. I had a couple fish make it (including the Sailfin I still have), but I thought all the corals were gone. About a month later I saw this tiny tentacled thing that slowly grew back to a full colony of GSP!

I also had it in a reef tank where I isolated it on a rock in the sand. The dang thing sent a runner UNDER THE SAND and up onto the main rockwork!

Now onto the second tank thing...

My wife is the same way. I continually get the "What did you get for your tanks now?!" thing. I thought there would be no way in hell I'd get a second tank... until she saw a Porcupine Puffer in a store. She played with it for about half an hour and fell in love. I told her that I couldn't put one in my reef because it would eat all the critters. But I did tell her that I could connect a second tank into the system and put the puffer in that. She agreed. I ended up buying a 65 gallon corner tank (that still has the plastic over the acrylic) right before I got the job offer in CA. The tank never got set up, but the idea was planted and that is what led me to my current setup.

    Find a puffer :)

I really like your setup, especially the dual tanks...not too many of us would be able to pull that off :)
How do you like the acrylic tanks? I had a 150 acrylic years back but no matter how hard I tried, it was almost impossible not to get it scratched.
