Tighe and I did some major replumbing today.

First off, the Reeflow Manta pump I had was overkill and I was eating 6+ amps of power per month that was contributing literally hundreds of dollars to my power bill. So I spent an inordinate amount of $$ on an RK2 pump that was right-sized for me and uses only about 4 amps. So we wired it up and installed it.

Additionally, I had a Mag 9 powering my fuge. So while we were at it we plumbed in the fuge to the main pump so I could knock out the Mag 9. Between that and the amps saved on the main pump I'm saving about 3 amps which equates to about $140 per month.

Below is a pic of my DIY kalk reactor and the new pump

And finally a new panorama pic of the entire fish room.

Awesome job. I cant imagine a pump costing me 100's of dollars just to run it lol. Thats crazy man but your tanks are looking great!

what are you doing with the mag pump, im in the market for a 9.5 for my tank. Lemme know brother, btw i like the policy of no wives in the fish room. lol. its a good thing you moved to a place where they have basements huh. couldn't have done this is in flat ol' Florida. lol.

Also good thing your in cali im 100 percent positive with the amount of power your tank is using, the feds would def be knocking on your door looking for that next grow bust in Florida lol.

I can only imagine. lol Florida sucks in that arena. I love basements but being so close to sea level blows. I would have something like you have for sure. probably not on the scale as yours but the concept would be there, well done bud.
