Work is starting today in the filter room. Below are pics of the room under the house (two stories down from the tank location). There are currently two platforms that need reinforcing and I will be adding in a sink and a drain, along with a dedicated circuit and a data connection for my Apex.

The lower platform is getting replaced with marine grade plywood.

The 240 gallon sump will be going on the lower platform and the fuge and water change tank will go on the upper.

The big question is where to put the lawn mower! :)

That's awesome, what kind of return pump do you plan on using for around 20 feet of head height?

Crazy that it's only $100 more than the return I'm eying (Hammerhead). Looking good thusfar...it's starting to come together.

So interestingly, when I was originally looking at having the pump over in the area under our garage (far less head pressure) I was probably going to go with the Hammerhead. The difference in current draw is only .9 amps!

Evidently the Manta is a lot more noisy, but I don't care since it's isolated.

The other thing I found very interesting, and something I did not know, is that you can also put two pumps in series to get to the head pressure you need. Two Hammerheads would have given me the flow I need, but at 6 amps instead of 3.9 and nearly twice the cost. The Manta makes a lot more sense.
