    Update:

Nothing pic-worthy right now, but progress is being made.

    - Platforms for the sump and equipment have been beefed up.

    - Drain is in for new sink and water pipe run.

    - Cement slab poured for holding the two 250 gallon water holding tanks.

Hopefully all the under-house stuff will be done today and aquarium pipes can be run next week.

The two 250 gallon holding tanks are getting delivered Monday. The bummer is that they are 30" in diameter and the door to the filter room is 30" as well. Sound ok? Well the door has a frame. I'll likely have to remove the frame to get those two tanks in. :-/

Yeah sounds like the frame has to go. How high are the tanks?
Man you are moving fast - it is going to be filling time soon!

Tanks are 24" tall. Filling time is still a few weeks away - need to wait on the tanks from Tenecor. They are making progress and have drilled holes for the drains/returns, so it's just putting in the overflows, finishing up and shipping.

So if the tanks are 24" high and the doorway is 30", why not turn the tanks when getting them though the door way? Maybe something idk about, just a thought...

The tanks are 80" tall...I dunno where 24" came from. It's on the third or fourth page.

EDIT: I think his Bullnose DT's are 24" tall.

Ahh - confusion about which tanks you're talking about :)

The display tanks are 24" tall. The water make-up tanks are 30" diameter by about 80" tall. There is no getting around the 30" on the cylinder and the 30" door unless I can get it to bend in a bit, but the last thing I want to do is force it and have a broken piece of plastic that I waited a month to get. I'm not sure even sure I could even force it through.

Ahh.. then back to your idea about the frame. That should get you in there. I agree, you definitely don't won't to try to force those in.

    Update:

Sink is in and an additional small platform has been put in for access to the upper larger one. Cement pad is cured and ready for polyethylene tanks arriving Monday.

    To-Do List on Construction:

    - Run dedicated electrical circuit to filter room
    - Run network cable to filter room for Apex base unit
    - Run Apex USB cables between necessary points (both tank locations and filter room)
    - Cut through side of house, run pipes down side of house, paint and mount
