I ased you guys about good unit and you sugested SpectraPure 90gal/day. Never know it is 90 gal per day as 12 hours or 24 hours. Anyway it is 4 stage. I installed it doday but something is wrong. When I mesure it gave me little over 2 gal per hour. It is not right. I heard that guys get like 4gal. Pressure is in range 58PSI < recommended 40-80. Ratio RO to waste 4x1 like it should be. So what is weong???

Give it some time, it should start to produce faster. ( i think) how long have you had it hooked up and running?

This, it takes a while for:
A.) The chemicals used for manufacturing to really get removed ( I usually run the first 1 hour out and just dump it all RO and Waste)
B.) The membrane to loosen up a bit and really start to produce. You should see a steep increase in production after the first 30 gallons or so.

Well based on your previous comment that would only give you 8 gallons total production, so I would definitely keep on using it until you hit the 30 gallon mark IMO. I definitely saw a huge jump after that point on my spectra-pure.

Two things have a major effect on membrane production, water pressure and water temperature. The Spectrapure is rated at 90 GPD at 60 psi and 77 degrees F water temperature. If either or both are lower than that the production will be lower.
What is your water temperature? Hopefuly you bought the handheld TDS meter too and it has a digital thermometer built in.

I agree. I don't mean to hijack a thread, but do they sell a inline thermometer for a RO system, similar to a TDS meter or do i have to build and patent one? LOL

You can stick an aquarium thermometer on the side of the housings, I think this is what Buckeye supplies with theirs.
I prefer to use a HM Digital TDS meter like the TDS-3, TDS-4TM or my favorite the COM-100 to measure the temperature at the same time I am measuring the TDS for best accuracy.

That's not a bad idea on the stick on. I own the HM Digital DM-2 In-Line, but it does not support temp..

I have two dual inlines but never turn them on since they are not temperature compensated and rarely read accurate enough for me. If you look closely at the probes, they have a fatter part with a small rectangular hole or window in them. Inside that hole is the temp probe so it reads air temperature and not water temperature which are rarely the same. The error can be as much as 2% for every degree C they differ.
I use the COM-100 since it is the only hobbyist grade TDS meter to read in tenths, can be calibrated and read in three different modes, has a temperature read out and is extremely accurate.
