When I feed Rod's Food the PVC going down from my overflow box shakes slighlty and the flow sputters a lil. Has anyone ever experienced this with feeding this food. Every other frozen food does not do this... hmm:confused:

That sounds strange, I've never heard of that happening. Does it only happen with Rod's food? Have you tried to see if there is anything blocking the pipe?

Whenever I feed frozen food my overflow sputters and slows down a bit.

I also never heard of that. Have you tried cleaning out your drain pipe/hose?

BTW it actually puts bubbles in the overflow boxes siphon tube, and the bubble gets bigger. I actually have to restart the siphon with an air tube. Now I jsut leave the tube in there to get rid of the bubble after I feed. lol daily saltwater rinse.. yum

It's brand new.. not sure if its because there isn't really a slime layer on it. Pipe is clear though. Mysis doesn't do this. could it be due to the surface temp is cooler, because the rods is still cold when I feed it.. it's prerinsed in RO water by the factory, so I just pinch it in. It has small particles corals feed on so I dont rinse it. Gonna try letting it defrostt all the way today and see what happens

I feed rods often, but I thaw completely. Never had rods cause that issue. My air bubble was just lack of flow. I cleaned my impellar on my return and voila, haven't had an air bubble in months.
