    You want to make sure you get a large enough one that it will work.

    I have UV built right into my filtration (came with unit). As mentioned get 1 big enough. Meaning get 1 for a larger pond because mine does not do much. Waste of my money personally.

    What can I do to get rid of this brown stuff. I clean this stuff out every weekend.

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Tank looks really good. So no carbon dosing? Weird algae, might try, I get certain odd growth/algae if I have one color turned up for too long. Seems like each algae likes different spectrum. The Maroon looks huge!

    Be careful with that seahair. I went that route when I was battling my algae issues and it died within a few days. I ended up manually removing all the algae, increased water changes, lowered my lighting times, added a filter sock and so far so good except for some detritus/dirt looking stuff that keeps getting on my LR.
