OMG that made me laugh out loud seriously wow!

 

okay i put some cheto in and i have the 4LED JBJ ref light going through the glass on the back and the light is directed at the cheto ball.

It's programmed to be on only when the moon lights are on.

I got the PH Probe in and calibrated it with the 7.00 and 10.00 packets then i washed the probe put it back into the solution and it gave me the correct readings, I then cleaned it again and put it into the back of the tank where the temperature probe is.

I currently have a PH Reading of 7.89

I bought a Refractometer and the reading that come out with was 1.0265 to 1.027...

Any comments on this ? I have 4 fish, I have my skimmer and I also have the lights going off/on proper amounts in the day.

I think my PH could go higher but i'm not really sure where/why.

I tested the PH of a cup of new water from a jug and it is 7.95 after the probe being in it for about 5 minutes. Shouldn't the water have a much higher PH

 

I also wanted to say that I could have the refractometer off the water i buy is RO from the fish store where they mix the salt, they are very popular store.

Okay i checked the water from the containers i had filled at the store and they are about perfect i would say between 1.0245 and 1.025

So something in my tank has the salainity up a little.

Going to perform a 25% water change tonight

 

okay switched out about 25% of the water and now the PH is at 7.91 with only moonlights on.
