room for coral?

    hey I'm new and i recently bought paired clowns and a torch coral... my tank isn't very large an i am unable to get a larger tank.... anyway my tank is about 7 G and i want one or two small corals but i am unsure which ones are small enough to go in my tank so any help would be great thanks :)

    Personally, in a tank that size I would only add 1 or 2 species. :)

    That said, the tank size doesn't determine what species you can keep, only how often you need to frag or thin out your stock. You would be wise to research each potential addition as you lack the water volume to tolerate very much chemical warfare or the die-off from aggressive neighbors stinging each other.

    First, welcome to 3reef!

    I have a 6g fluval edge and have some ricordia, zoanthids and mushroom corals. However, as mentioned ^^ You can get small frags of just about anything though. And they will all grow big, but you can frag them, trade them sell them ect... I would just find what you like and look for small frags of it. Soft corals will often be the easiest, for LPS and SPS you will need to supplement calcium and alkalinity buffer. Certain corals such as many SPS corals will need a lot of light, so, that may not be feasible anyway depending on what lighting you have.

    thanks all as it is only a small tank it came with a light fitting.... so i just have an 11w marine blue/sunlight pl light...with the lid fixed on i am unable to get anything bigger/stronger...so what else would you recommend

    also forgot to add that i only got the torch coral recently and it has already grown quite considerably across all of the heads
