Rose Bubble Tip Vs Red Bubble Tip Nem

The tank is fairly young about 3 months although young water conditions are very stable. I know tank maturity is a major consideration with nems to a extent. K ratings vary by bulb but 14-18k range. Par ratings on the bulbs are going to be roughly 325-345 obviously that varies by depth and what not but that is the estimated par off of the specific bulbs I plan to be using.

 

Lighting sounds fine. Nems will move to where they feel comfortable in the tank. Some people say wait 6 month to get a nem some say a year. I cheated and got one 4 months in and hes doing great. Word of advice read up on them before you get one and make sure to nem proof your powerheads.

 

Ive done a moderate amount of research in regards to what to look for when purchasing and lighting requirements feeding and what not. I know some people use the rule of thumb like 6watts per gallon for them but I am also under the impression that wattage per gallon is not a accurate gauging to use.

 

Personally I like proving people wrong which why I got one 4 months in in a 20gal tank.

Not the best motivation behind buying or providing for your aquarium friends.

 

My lighting was more than adequate and had no problems with the tank since it was "born".

 

I got this as a ROSE BTA, but obviously kinda greenish at the bottom of the tentacles.


So.. is this rose or red BTA?

I would say so.

I have had rose with the light green and I have light green with rose if that makes any sense.
