    So had one rose tip anemone last night, came home from work and now I got two...good,bad, why do they split??

    On a sad note, thinking my newly purchased flameback angel just got killed by my Niger trigger.

    That sucks

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    The theory is that BTA's split for two reasons 1. Self preservation: Decline in water quality or less then ideal parameters. 2. They split after sustained feedings (but that does not mean to over feed them).

    I have had a few split within a couple weeks of introduction for no reason that I could identify.

    It's best not to attempt to feed them until the clones have full developed oral openings, so at least a couple weeks after cloning.

    +1 to above, I've found that the clones from feeding are usually much smaller than the mother nem, where as from stress, they split right down the middle. JMO

    This one is smaller, doesn't look like it split in half, I usually feed 1-2 times a week.
