    May be diatom skeletons settling out in the tank.

    Click on 'Go Advanced' rather than 'Quick Reply, then you will see a little paperclip icon, click on this then add your picture.

    The easiest way is to use a free hosting service like photobucket and then paste the 3rd link down.

    By any chance does it look like this. (These are obviously on a coral and not on sand....just using it for an ID).
