I am going back and forth on the last few fish i want to add to my tank and the order in which to add them. there have been various "short lists" over the past few months.

    Currently:

2 clowns (added in October after cycle)
2 Banggai cardinals (added Feb 7)

I am looking for a sand/rock dweller (or two) and more of an open water swimmer. I am leaning towards a Randal Goby, Mandarin Dragonet and Kobe Tang. I am not married to this though. My thoughts with sand/rock dweller is that, obviously you want to get two that wont go fisticuffs but they will spend a good deal of time hiding so that having two will increase the likelihood of seeing one or the other creeping around.

I don't know if my logic holds up or if there is something else i should be considering. Any input is appreciated!!

    I'm running:
    75g DT
    29g sump
    ~100 lbs of fiji premium
    aquaticlife 48" 4 bulb T5HO w/ LED moonlights
    Reef Octo NWB150
    2 1400 Kor. PHs (soon to be a MP40)

    Inverts:
    GSP
    Mushroom
    Acan
    chalice
    Zoos
Welli (or tractophelia [spelling??] i need to snap pics and get a posi ID)
    Blasto
    Torch
    hammer
    Fungia
a small brain i got for 5bux that im trying to rescue

I think you could put a couple or more of the Randall gobies in your tank. The tang will be a good size for the tank.

Mandarin dragonette is going to need a TON of pods...do you have a ridiculous amount of LR or a seeded refugium? You could also pay 30 and continually dose...

Would it work to add a goby or two then the kole then the mandarin at about the yr mark and work to get pod population up for the months preceding the mandarin? Or would the tang be too aggressive to new tankmates?

If you really want a Dragonette, look into (or ask your LFS) to get an ORA Mandarin. They are trained to eat prepared foods, and the success rates are much higher. Mine eats pellets and bloodworms daily. You can train a non ORA to eat prepared foods, but it takes time...something that a lot of Mandarins don't have. The ORA's are more expensive, but worth it to me. I got a spotted for $65.

Ok thanks. Will do. The money is certainly not that big of an issue. I have no problem spending decent $$ on livestock if theyre not going to die off straight away due to my ignorance.
