How do you like it? I just had some come in the mail today. Adding it to my reactor tonight. How long does it take to begin to see results? A week?

Rinse it well before use! Personally I prefer pelletized GFO like Warner Marine Phosar as it does not clump in the reactor.

I rinsed it for awhile. There was some nasty rust-stained water coming out. I out in half a cup as per Bulk Reef Supply, but I fear I used way too much after reading. I need to take a bunch out and just put in a couple of tablespoons.

If you haven't been using GFO, you want to start with only a fraction of the recommended amount, then slowly add more over the next few weeks. Adding the full amount to an established tank has been known to stress, bleach, and even kill corals.

I had it mixed with carbon and a nitrate media. The nitrate media is white and easy to tell a difference, the carbon and GFO was not. I ended up removing it all and then putting in 3 heaping spoon fulls of the 3-part mix.
