I have read a couple conflicting things on the royal gramma and it's interaction with shrimp in general. I have read that peppermint shrimp are the big issue, but I also have heard of people saying they are suspected killers of their cleaner shrimp as well. I currently have 2 skunk cleaner shrimp. Would I be risking them if I got a royal gramma? I find the shrimp super interesting and wouldn't want to risk them!

So... has any one had an issue with royal gramma and cleaner shrimp?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I have kept many Royal Grammas and cleaner shrimp together and never had an issue, dotty backs yes but not Royal Grammas.

I'll second that. I've kept several tanks with Royal Grammas and Cleaner Shrimp, and never had a single problem.

    +1

I had a royal gramma with 2 cleaner shrimp in my tank for over a year and a half with no problems.

Unfortunately, I did loose the cleaner shrimp to an ammonia spike :(.

Then I added some peppermint shrimp to help control aiptaisa and there has been no problem at all with any of them .... probably going to get another cleaner shrimp ... they have such cool personalities .... the peppermints just hide all the time.

Ok, that's what I like to hear!

I thought I had read they were fine... but had also seen a couple stories about it going wrong. Just wanted to be sure :)
