Would a royal gramma make a good first fish for the aquarium? Or would it be too territorial? It's a 75 gal.

The first two fish I added were a clown and a Royal Gramma in my 75. He has a cave, and i mean its HIS cave but other than that hes cool. Doesnt bother any of the new adds

For a 75 I think you are safe, but it could decide to chase some of your new adds for a little while.

I've had bad luck with royal grammas. I've bought 2 and neither survived more then a few days.

My experience has been great. Hardy and beautiful and peaceful but can defend itself

I have one in my 100g. Great fish. As others have said mine also has his own cave/rock he lives in. Ive never seen him get into any scraps with any fish tho.
