Royal spotted gramma has ich I think

My gramma just started rubbing against the live rock in my tank, its eating normally and no heavy breathing. How can i ensure that is what it is and treatment for a reef tank? Thank you in advance

 

first i would wait a few days and if you see any white spots then you know it's ick. Always treat disease in a quarantine tank

 

Sometimes fish just scratch for no reason, if he does it continuously for awhile then I would just feed food soaked in garlic to keep him eating and he will most likely be able to fight it off. IF you have a QT tank and he gets ick very badly then i would treat him with copper in there. If it is a minor case then switching tanks is just stressful for the fish.

 

My gramma(pink is her name) has been doing this for a few days, there was many white spots on her 2 days ago but they are all gone now. Since I have introduced my fire cleaner shirmp into my system. Dont have a QT tank it became my custom sump.

 

Garlic from the pet store or can i soak it in normal liquid cooking garlic?

 

Yeah there's most likely ick in the tank. You can feed garlic to help bring about a healthy immune system. Inless it's a very serious case you just feed them garlic, keep them healthy, and they'll fight it off

 

They sell fish food at most LFS that has garlic in it and that will suffice

Bump my gramma started breathing heavy today isnt have been eating when i feed only rubbing on the rock some, is that just part of the ick cycle? I can post a pic of the gramma she looks great other then slow gasping
