I don't like the corner shots to much but whatever lol.
still waiting on the cycle to finish...its moving along nicely. 0 ammonia today but nitrites where still off the chart and nitrates where also off the chart today.

I'm trying to find something to put next to my fish tank in that corner to help store my fish supplies. I was at Lowes and saw some stainless steel shelving that i liked but its a little big for our living room. and the wife thought it would be "too much". I was thinking more like an armoire or TV stand with some drawers at the bottom and an open section on top to keep my QT tank in. if anyone have some suggestions, throw them out there.

I dont mind at all..... About $700 i dont have the orders in front of me but:
Rapid led order was like 450 and it was a 48 dimmable kit, 4 moonlights, 2 y hanging kits, 80mm fan kit, and 2 y hangars, 118 from heatsink usa and then the rest was random tools and supplies from Lowes and work :).

I dont like the corner shots cause the way the rocks dont line up. I know its cause the way the light reflects through the water, but that shot does look epic, way to go wifey

as this is my first time plumbing anything i can tell you what i learned. i liked both the PVC and the hosing.

the pvc was really easy to work with just cut everything and dry fit it before you start gluing pieces. i noticed when i glued them they would sink into the fittings a little further then when they where dry fitted, maybe 1/4 or 1/8 of an inch, not much but it was noticeable. the other thing i did was unions. lots of unions. i noticed very quickly that lining up 2 90 degree bends over a few feet of piping was kinda hard, at least for me, so i put a union before every 90 degree bend so they could be adjusted and disassembled later

I used 3/4" braided nylon hose from my pump to the return outlet pvc. i used it because i was afraid of having to glue 4 perfect 90 degree angles together to get it up and over my tanks back wall. its really hard to bend at first but i boiled it in a pot of water for 15 minutes or so and it soften up really nice. went right over the barb connections and quickly lost the bend it comes with off the spool.

    Hope i helped!

What did you use to connect the hose to pump in the sump?Did it just slide on tight or did you use a clamp?

My pump is 1/2" output so i upped that to 3/4" and then a nylon barb fitting to the hose. I put a steel clamp on it at first but 2 days later the screw was rusting so i took it off. Right now nothing is holding it on and its pretty tight on there an not leaking.
