i bought agreen millepora a while back and when it came in the bag broke and it was out of water i immediatley put it in and it was kinda brownish now its slowly starting to gain back its color. i did hower notice at its base theres been a white ring around the base. its pretty pale white and has polyps on it. it kinda looks like RTN because its so white but the coral seems to be doing better each day ( color wise and polyp extension) and sorry no pic i know it would help alot but no camera

If it has polyps then it is growth.

If it's RTN, the coral would be dead in hours. It could be STN (Slow Tissue Necrosis). However, if there are polyps, then it's growth or bleaching.

growth on many SPS frags that I have often commences with white areas that gradually colour up to become same as the rest of the colony
