    I rinse mine first with tap water.

    Well, it doesn't say BPA free. What should I do then? Sorry, what is that BPA? Any way to find out if it's free of that?

    I just bought one of these today and was about to look up the material.lol Look underneath the container it should have some lettering and some arrows around a number.

    I use rubber maid storage containers all the time. I use one for my auto top off. It holds water 24-7 and has never been an issue.

    If thats a #4 then its LDPE (low density polyethylene) which is found in food containers. I guess if its safe for humans...
