    Hi everybody,

I went to six flags for the day and the power went out in my area due to thunder storms. Long story short- my pico tank was exposed to the heat that day about 90-degrees in my home office. My main tank was fine because it is in my bedroom which has a backup generator attached to it.

My clown goby leaped to its death and anemone shrimp died as well. Gruesome murder scene indeed.

Now that my tank is empty of livestock except my reef hermit and a tiny colony of GSP- I'll be moving them into my main tank.

How do I keep the pico tank running? I'm a little heart broken that my fish died and will wait a couple months before I get another fish for the pico. I want to keep the tank running to keep the live rock and live sand alive but I don't know what exactly to do.

Can I keep the lights off during this period?

Should I throw some raw shrimp in there to keep the bacteria alive?

Do i have to do water changes?

    Thanks for your help!

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Top off as needed.

Tiny pinch of fish food every other day.

You can leave the lights off if you want.

RIP to your fish, I think you might want to turn on the light but doesn't necessary to keep it on all day. Since there may be still lives on your live rock and you aren't planning to add more fish like a couple months later.

Might keep the lights on to still promote corraline growth? and not get nuisance algae etc?
