I agree, i wouldnt run my tank with out one of these strips. highly highly recommend one

 

Added a Colt coral and a Royal Dottyback yesterday. Both are doing fine.

 

Added a Coral Beauty. His name is Larry. Got beat up by Gloria the Mimic Tang for a day but a truce was signed and now they get along great.

Ok here are few pics. Sorry about the bad quality. Just actinics on. Larry is too fast to get a good picture but I'll try again later when all the lights are on. Also forgot to mention I added Rocco the pearly dartfish the other day too. My 3 yr old daughter names all the fish

Larry has got Ich. Going to get some Kick-Ich today. I have used it before and it seemed to work.

 

Just broke down and bought the NET module for my Reefkeeper Lite. Don't tell my wife

I will be out of town occasionally this summer so it will be nice to be able to see what is happening with my tank.

 

I am so frustrated right now. My mimic tang,pearly dartfish and coral beauty have all died from what I think was either ich or marine velvet. All fish died while struggling to get oxygen it seems. Very tiny white specks all over their bodies. The coral beauty died in QT and I was unable to catch the tang without having to rip up all the rock and corals. I have the other fish in QT right now treating with copper, but already the ammonia is creeping up in the QT. I added a cup of sand from the DT in hopes to help with some bacteria. Of course my wife who is not very supportive of the tank (due to the money involved) is trying to get me to sell everything. I guess I will just let the tank go fallow for six weeks and hopefully the other fish can handle the QT.
Going to do a couple of water changes over the next week to dilute the copper and then just do hyposalinity in the QT.
