    Two questions. One are you using RODI water and two what is your water source city or well water?

    using watermill express water RODI 9 step process... not sure where they get the filtrated water... assuming it's city and then filtrated frrom there.... NEVER had this problem before on a 2 year old tank... using the same water source

    Is that one of those locations that sell water for like .25 a gallon & you do it yourself?

    I'd be a little careful. I was doing the same on my 29gal a year ago & could never figure out why my water kept on growing algae. I switched & my problems went away.

    I would used a TDS meter & test the water you get & see how pure it really is before you use it.

    looks like diatom bloom to me, i agree it may be the water you are using, buy a RODI for 160 shipped from spectapure's 3reef discount and never worry again, in the aspect of water anyway.

    followed all instructions... steel brushed the legs... rustoleum... scrubed the outside of tank where legs rusted... and reinstalled... now, I'll just watch and wait.
    If this doesn't help ... I'll begin the process of checking the water!!!
