lol, just run the frame inside that and then silicon some screen to the outer edges to cover the missed spaces;)

ok about the T. your PVC return runs from the pump to the tank, so instead....
where your 90 degree PVC angle goes to the DT, get rid of that, and add a "T" and then add a piece of PVC running straight up to "open air" and then run your return as normal. you basically are adding a "vent" to the top. lol not sure thats gonna help ya.

nah, just raise it a few inches, you can put a cap on and drill some holes in it to cut the noise down.

    Hey all,

Just a quick update. The tank finally has light again, since the light source lost power, I was luckily enough to be shipped a demo light from the manufacturer whilst I wait for the power source to be replaced.

I got a tan carpet anemone which has settled and is opening up nice and wide. Just waiting for those clowns to come see it :). However they are pretty happy with their torch.

I have also got a few hardware items on order, I got a Ecotech Marine Battery Backup for my vortech pumps and I have ordered a Tunze Osmolator ATO (Long overdue) to get that going.

I have decided I want to go down the road of some SPS. So I will be setting up some dosing soon. I am going to try and cover the top of my arch in SPS :) And leave the LPS for the lower levels :).

    Hey all,

Sorry that I have been very quiet lately. I have been abit down about my tank.

The good news is, that my fish are doing fantastically, all getting along well and it has been two and a bit months since my last addition and I haven't had any fish loses for a long time.

My algae is also gone. Only the traditional green film algae on the glass that comes from to much light. I also have a lot of corraline growth spreading through the tank :).

However, my corals are suffering. I have had some unexplained things go wrong. First all my euphilia, including two hammers, an elegance and a frogspawn suddenly detached from their hard coral exoskeletons. It was very very odd. I am not sure why this happened or how I could of prevented it. I toyed with idea of glueing them back in but I didn't go through with it.

I also lost my carpet anemone. I saw my two peppermint shrimp hanging over it alot the last few weeks. They have also been stealing food from it when I tried to feed it so I think that contributed to its death. Im trying to think of ways to get rid of those shrimp.

I also lost another two SPS frags. I just have no idea how to keep those.

So overall, while my fish, invertebrates and urchins etc are thriving, my corals are taking abit of a battering.

Im not going to get any more coral for the moment and try to consolidate the ones that I have. Im not really sure what to do, im just a little bit down about the whole thing. Like I am loving my fish but want the other things to go well to.
