Ok, so I plan on going the increased Mg route to rid myself of bryopsis, but i have a few questions before i start. First off what should be a good level to raise the Mg to to be effective, i've read anywhere from 1800 to 2300, and how long should i keep it at that level? Second, how fast should i raise the level? And finally, since Mg, Ca, and Alk all go hand in hand, how will this effect those levels? Oh, forgot one more question, this high Mg level won't adversely affect my corals, clam, fish, or inversts will it?

Sorry for all of the questions, i just want to cover all of my bases before i start. Thanks in advance.

It bleached out some of my zoas and clove polyps, but it's worth it IMO.

1800-2300 ppm is fine, it didn't bother my clams or fish, but some softies lost some color.

Your Ca will be fine but you will want to monitor your Alk closely.

Do not change your Mg more than 100ppm per day.

I would also suggest getting Kent Tech M it seems to be the most effective.
