Sacul1573's 90g - RIP

Fish man, you can never figure them out. I had a Bi-Color Blenny in my DT that decided to eat half a Wellso in the matter of a couple hours. He had been in my tank for years with no problem and then BAM he went nuts on me!!!

 

Wow, that must have ticked you off more than I was tonight. I saw the clam all pinched up, and then saw the chromis "assume the position" and then went in for the nip. Spent all dinner watching him like a hawk. Did it twice more, but stopped after a feeding.

What'd you do with the Blenny?

 

The Blenny resides in my Fuge now. He loves it there, picks at pods early in the morning when the lights first come on. I picked up the 90 and its ready to rock man. Gotta paint the back of it a flat black and plumb it. This Sunday will be the official switch over.

 

Haha, that's where my chromis might end up.

Thanks a bunch for the offer man. I think I should be ok on the switch over, its my third one. My fiancee and her friend are going to be here to lend a few extra hands. I might have some extra coral leftover and frags that don't make it into the new system. You can stop by anytime to pick up some freebies man.

Trap set and in the tank. Most of the fish have already been in and out, but this one seems to know its for him.... Must have patience....

 

I gotta catch my chromis before I add any wrasses.

 

Well, it's hard to know which of the three was the culprit. It's one of the two that are nearly identical... the third is smaller. I caught one of the two, and put him in the sump. Turns out, he was the wrong one. After watching the other pick a few more times, seems he's getting bored with the clam, and so I put the exile back, and havent seen much more picking. Must've been a temporary thing, maybe territorial...

Why? Bioload or aggression?
