Its great that they calmed down!
Oh its the aggression of the chromis. They killed the firefish in a few days..

I read about that on your thread, but that's pretty hard to believe. I thought chromis were generally very passive and friendly... Are you sure it wasnt your blue tang? They can get aggressive...

Lol, I say that as my chromis are picking at the clam, so what do I know?

Haha, yeah I might have mentioned on my thread but the two chromis are aggressive in my tank. Surprisingly the blue hippo tang was trying to chase the chromis away when they were bullying the firefish. But when he was being a peacekeeper, the firefish got intimidated by its size, so he wasnt really helping :-/

Honestly, I dont know. There was a very small amount of STN at the base from the incident over Christmas when I left for a week and ATO failure caused spike in SG and drop in temp, but that had stopped shortly after. Woke up a few days ago to see a completely white band halfway up the frag. It's been spreading since, but I fragged the top 2" and hopefully will recover something.

As far as the lights, it's definitely helping. I'm considering going down to 4 bulbs, and lowering the fixture a little. But the LPS have definitely improved in color, and my formerly green milli (baseline) is now browning a bit, but at least it's regaining some sort of color.

PE is still lackluster, as is growth. That might improve with time, but I'm still wondering if there's something else at play here as well.

Intense lighting definitely was hurting things, though. That has been fixed.:)
